Indraprastha College

Indraprastha College is strategically located 2 Kms from the Kashmere Gate Inter State Bus Terminal to the North East and Old Secretariat to the North West. It is 3 kms away from the Delhi University Vice Chancellor's office.

Indraprastha College is a pioneer institution of Delhi. Started in 1924, the college celebrated its Platinum Jubilee in 1999-2000. Today it has 2000 students. It was in 1999 that the college started a course in Mass Media and Mass Communication at the under graduate level, a course first of its kind. 

This year 2002, the college imported audiovisual equipment worth Rs. 2 crores, being a grant from the Government of India under the Japan Debt Relief Scheme. The equipment consists of the following systems:

  • Outdoor Shooting System

  • Editing System

  • Video Production System

  • Video Studio System

  • Audio Studio Setup

In 2002-2003, the college set up its own audio-video studios with the Production Control Room for complete independent production from pre-production to final production. The studios are completely equipped with the facilities like vision mixing, audio mixing, camera work, edition, lighting and other technical arrangements.
